Ally’s No Tomato Sauce is a tomato free, vegetable based sauce that can be used as a direct replacement for tomatoes in a huge range of meals (you can find some recipes above).
We have a small home-based production and supply to family, friends and some local shops.
The product was created as an alternative to tomatoes for those who are alergic or intolerant. Approximately 45% of the population in the UK have some kind of food alergy or intolerance (source: Allergy UK) yet often suffer throughout their lives as it can be difficult to diagnose and sometimes almost impossible as the NHS do not even recognise food intolerance as a problem.
Many “Free From” products are available in the supermarkets to cater for the majority of conditions, however those suffering from the more less-known or harder to diagnose conditions are left to simply avoid the problem foods.
